Military Friendly
ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ has moved up to No. 5 in the newest MilitaryFriendly.com rankings of small, public military-friendly schools. As a result, it is the only ranked and only Gold-level school in that category in Georgia.


Historic Uptown, RiverPark Campus
The university’s downtown campus, called ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ RiverPark, is located in historic Uptown, the creative heart of Columbus. Home to some of the nation's most sophisticated teaching and performance spaces, is filled with shops, live music, coffee shops, restaurants and activity.


Main Campus Major Renovations
Main campus is undergoing a major facelift. Woodall Hall has been replaced by greenspace, Davidson Student Center is preparing for a $5 million renovation and a new faΓ§ade is going up on the Synovus Center for Commerce and Technology.


New State-Funded Academic Building
A new $22.2 million building is being planned for ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½β€™s main campus. This will be the first new state-funded academic building for ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ in 20 years. This 36,000 square-foot building will house ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½β€™s Coca-Cola Space Science Center and ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½β€™s robotics engineering program, the only one of its kind in Georgia.


ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½'s Endowment
ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½β€™s endowment is now valued at more than $100 million; Through private giving, we annually award more than $3 million in student scholarships.


Economic Impact on this Region
The university has a $297.5 million . During FY23, the university generated 2,685 full- and part-time jobs in the region, making ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½ a top-10 Columbus employer.


Student Success Focus
By following a series of recommendations from the National Institute for Student Success, the university has become hyper focused on student success and has hired an AVP to improve retention rates.


Schwob School of Music
ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½β€™s heralded Schwob School of Music has students from 20 different countries. The school has a 100% placement rate of music education graduates, and other graduates are members of some of the country’s most prestigious music organizations, including the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the β€œPresident’s Own” Marine Band, the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, and the Metropolitan Opera.


Computer Science Program
ΒιΆΉΣ³»­΄«Γ½β€™s one-year computer science program provides 5 industry certifications along the way and is routinely providing six-figure jobs for its graduates.


ROTC Program Ranked No. 1
Our ROTC program was ranked the No. 1 battalion in its tier last year by claiming the top spot among its regional counterparts and the No. 3 spot nationally at Cadet Summer Training. In doing so, Columbus State reclaimed the coveted Titan Helmet for the third consecutive yearβ€”and the fourth time in six years.
